What is Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient (IOP)?
Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient treatment is a level of care for treating primary Substance Use Disorders which falls between a more restrictive inpatient/residential level of care and the less restrictive outpatient level of care. Intensive Outpatient consists of 10 hours of clinical services weekly including a combination of group therapy,individual and family counseling. Our IOP program is 8 weeks minimum that can be extended to meet the individual needs of the patient.
At Gupta Wellness we also include a medication evaluation, and access to psychiatric medication management services if needed.
We can also facilitate outpatient medical detox when it is determined appropriate for the patient.
Who is a candidate for Intensive Outpatient services?
A patient who struggling with a primary Substance Use Disorder and possible co-occurring mental health diagnosis. The patient is unable to maintain sobriety from substances for long periods of time without clinical intervention and is free of withdrawl symptoms or may require some level of outpatient medical detox from substances.
